Tolerance

From what I have seen on the website, It all looks very useful! Some lessons are very hard to find information and material for and this website looks like it would be helpful to fill those voids.
Movies always get students excited to learn about a subject because it (usually) keeps them interested and is something different from the normal lecture/activity.
This is also useful for lessons that you don’t know how to start or lessons that might be hard to talk about. Some of these topics can be a bit touchy especially when relayed to parents from the students so this website gives you resources to have these conversations with out hurting or offending anyone.

This also gives you the resources to teach kids these topics that are new to being necessary to raise students who are open and understanding.

  1. Kelly Jo,
I agree with you! This website provides many resources, including activities, lesson plans, and discussion questions, that help to address difficult topics. When initially viewing this website, I felt that this would be a great resource to use if any issue ever arose within my classroom. But, I should not wait until issues have already developed. It is important for teachers to incorporate lesson plans and activities that address such issues before they become prevalent within the classroom. Hopefully we can both utilize this website as a beneficial resource within our future classrooms!

  2. Kelly Jo,

I definitely agree with you! There are many different ways that this website can be incorporated into our teaching. Spicing things up will help keep the interest of our students. It will be necessary for us to start teaching these topics to our students before they become an issue in the classroom. I look forward to using this website in my teaching and I hope you do too!
